Giannis Poulopoulos, known as John Poulopoulos, was born in 1941 in Kardamýli, Greece, and was a notable Greek singer. He began his musical journey at a young age and secured an audition with Columbia Records in 1963 after persistent efforts. His performance of "Mána mou kai PanagÃa" and "Párapono" impressed MÃkis Theodorákis, who mentored him. Poulopoulos' first recordings included "Stróse to stróma sou gia dyo", "Dóxa tow Theó", and "To psomà einai sto trapézi". He released several singles and EPs before signing with Lyra Records. ". He collaborated with notable figures such as Yannis Spanos and Mimis Plessas. In 1969, his album ΠδÏÏÎ¼Î¿Ï achieved significant success. Poulopoulos continued to release albums through the 1970s and 1980s, including collaborations with George Krimizaki. He signed with Minos Records in 1975 and produced several albums until 1989.
