Georges Delvallée, born on March 15, 1937, in Fourmies, France, was a French organist. He studied under Alfred Cortot and prepared for his concert license at the Ãcole normale de musique de Paris, where he also learned harmony and composition with Henri Challan. Following advice from Marcel Dupré, André Marchal, and Marie-Louise Girod, Delvallée dedicated himself to the organ, specializing in the symphonic repertoire and the works of Charles Tournemire. His career included notable recordings such as Grandes Toccatas & Carillons Pour Orgue (1972) and Tournemire - Sept Chorals-Poèmes pour les sept paroles du Christ, op. 67 (1970). Delvallée also taught at the Ãcole normale de musique de Paris and various conservatories in the Paris region.
