Biography

Mark Geary is an Irish singer-songwriter born on 31 January 1971 in Dublin. He emigrated to New York City in 1992 and performed at local venues including the Sin-é bar. He released his debut studio album, 33 1/3 Grand Street (2002), through SonaBLAST! Records. Geary achieved professional recognition with the studio recording Ghosts (2004), which featured Glen Hansard and Josh Ritter and was named Album of the Year by the Irish Voice. His discography includes the studio recordings Opium (2008), Songs About Love, Songs About Leaving (2012), and The Fool (2017). Geary composed the scores for the films Loggerheads (2005), Steel City (2006), and Sons of Perdition (2010). His tracks have appeared in productions such as the film The End of Silence (2006) and the television series One Tree Hill.
