Biography

Greg Laswell, born April 26, 1974 in Long Beach, California, was an American musician. He started his music career as the frontman for the San Diego-based band Shillglen from 1998 to 2001, releasing their album Sometimes I Feel in late 1999. Laswell's solo career began with the self-released album Good Movie in 2003, which won Best Local Recording at the San Diego Music Awards in 2004. He then signed to Vanguard Records and released his second studio album, Through Toledo, in 2006. Several of Laswell's songs were featured in films and television shows, including "Comes and Goes (In Waves)", which appeared on Grey's Anatomy and True Blood. His subsequent albums include Three Flights from Alto Nido (2008), Take a Bow (2010), Landline (2012), and I Was Going to be an Astronaut (2014).
