Igor Ivanovich "Garik" Sukachov, born on December 1, 1959, in Myakinino, a Moscow suburb, is a Russian singer-songwriter. He formed his first band, Zakat Solntsa Vruchnuyu, in 1977 and released one album before disbanding in 1983. Sukachov then co-founded the band Bravo with Zhanna Aguzarova in 1984. In 1986, he established Brigada S, known as a 'proletarian jazz orchestra,' which released six studio albums and toured internationally before disbanding in 1993. Sukachov's solo career began in 1991 with the release of "ÐкÑÐ¸Ñ Â«ÐонÑенÑ»" (Action Nonsense). He has since released over ten solo albums, including Poetica (2003) and My Vysotsky (2014). Sukachov also co-organized the Rock Against Terror event in 1989. His song "Napoi menia vodoi" ("Quench my thirst") was sampled by Robert Miles for his 1995 hit "Children".
