Biography
Gardenian, a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, was formed in April 1996 by drummer Thim Blom and vocalist/guitarist Jim Kjell. The group initially included guitarist Niclas Engelin and bassist HÃ¥kan Skoger. In the same year, Gardenian recorded their first demo and secured a deal with Listenable Records. Their debut album, Two Feet Stand, was released in 1997. The band then signed with Nuclear Blast and released their second album, Soulburner, in 1999, featuring guest vocals from Eric Hawk and Sabrina Khilstrand. Following extensive tours with notable acts like In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, Gardenian released Sindustries in 2000. Internal changes led to the band's dissolution in 2004. After a reunion for the Gothenburg Sound Festival in 2013, Gardenian announced their final disbandment in 2016, citing lack of interest in continuing.
