Biography
Quebec rock band founded in 1987, formed by the duo of Jean-Robert Bisaillon and Richard Gauthier, joined in 1990 by Roger Miron and in 1995 by Martin Petit. In 1989, French B launched the song " Je m'en souviens ", which became a hit on Montreal radio station CKOI, the only commercial radio station in Quebec to play them. In 1991, the band released their eponymous debut album, which was nominated in two categories at the ADISQ gala. The following year, the band performed at the Francofolies de La Rochelle. In 1993, French B released their second album, Légitime Démence , which met with little success. They followed this up in 1996 with Au Delà du Délai . On January 31, 1998, the band played a final show in Montreal and subsequently disbanded. In 2001, the group released a compilation entitled Chronoreg: 1989-1998 . French B reformed in autumn 2002, at the Outrage event at the Sinners . In autumn 2021, they release their 1991 debut album on vinyl.
