Not to be confused with the German heavy metal group of the same name, Zébulon is Canadian band fronted by Marc Déry, who launched the group in 1993. Based in Montreal, Quebec, Zébulon featured Marc Déry on vocals and bass, his brother Yves Déry on guitar, Yves Marchand on keyboards, and Alain Quirion on drums. Zébulon, the group's self-titled debut album, was released in 1994 and later went gold, its success due in part to the popular radio single "Job Steady." The follow-up singles "Les femmes préfèrent les Ginos" and "Adrénaline" also received significant airplay in Quebec, with "Adrénaline" appeared on the band's second LP, L'Oeil du Zig. Released in 1996, L'Oeil du Zig cemented Zébulon's status as hitmakers in Quebec, and the band was named "Group of the Year" at the Félix Awards in 1997. Despite this momentum, Zébulon lapsed into inactivity as 1997 drew to a close. Marc Déry launched a solo career in 1998 and won a Félix Award with his self-titled debut album in 1999. He released two additional solo albums before reuniting with his former bandmates for Zébulon's comeback record, which arrived in 2008. Titled Retour sur Mars, the album proved to be the band's last release, with Déry resuming his solo career in 2011.
