Biography
Fleshwater is an American rock band formed in 2017 by vocalist and guitarist Anthony DiDio and drummer Matt Wood. They were joined by bassist Jeremy Martin and lead vocalist Marisa Shirar. Their first track "Linda Claire" was released in 2019, followed by their debut EP demo2020 in February 2020. The band's breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Weâre Not Here to Be Loved on November 4, 2022, featuring notable singles such as "Kiss the Ladder" and "The Razorâs Apple". Fleshwater embarked on their first full US tour in May/June 2023 supporting No Pressure. On December 26, 2023, the band released the EP Sounds of Grieving. After a North American tour in 2025, supporting Deftones and The Mars Volta, the band returned to the studio in order to release their sophomore album 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky, featuring singles "Jetpack" and "Last Escape".
