Filippo Tommaso Emilio Marinetti, born on December 22, 1876, in Alexandria, Egypt, was an Italian poet and art theorist. He developed a love for literature during his school years. In 1909, he authored the Manifesto of Futurism, published in Le Figaro, which marked the beginning of the Futurist movement. Marinetti's early works included the drama Le Roi bombance and the novel Mafarka il futurista. He collaborated with artists like Umberto Boccioni and Carlo Carrà , organizing Futurist Evenings. His later works include the album Formula of War (2011). He died on December 2, 1944.
