Biography

Madura was a jazz-rock band from Chicago, formed in 1970 by Alan DeCarlo and David "Hawk" Wolinski following the breakup of Bangor Flying Circus. The duo replaced Michael Tegza with Ross Salomone on drums. Madura recorded two albums produced by James William Guercio: Madura (1971) and Madura II (1973). They often opened for Chicago in 1971 and 1972, and their song "Free From The Devil" was featured in the movie Electra Glide in Blue. Wolinski later joined Rufus and Chaka Khan, while DeCarlo and Salomone contributed to Robert Lamm's solo album Skinny Boy (1974).
