Biography

Faith & Disease, a Seattle-based ethereal wave music project, was formed in 1994 with core members Eric Cooley and Dara Rosenwasser. The duo released their debut album, Beauty and Bitterness, the same year under Ivy Records. Over the next decade, Faith & Disease released six full-length albums, including Fortune His Sleep, Livesongs: Third Body, and Insularia. They also collaborated with electronic artist Jeff Greinke on the EP Dream The Red Clouds (2002). The band played over 300 live shows, including notable appearances at Bumbershoot, Folklife, and headlining at the Convergence festival. Their final album, Passport to Kunming, was released in 2003 under Projekt Records. Faith & Disease disbanded after their final shows in Seattle in 2005 and 2006.
