Biography

Exploring Birdsong is a British progressive rock band formed in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, in September 2017 when drummer Matt Harrison met singerâpianist Lynsey Ward at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The group signed with Long Branch Records on 9 September 2019 and issued their debut EP The Thing with Feathers on 29 November 2019. In March 2023 they released the EP Dancing in the Face of Danger. A succession of singles-including "Ever the Optimist" (25 November 2022) and "42" (4 February 2026) kept the band in circulation. The band released their debut studio album Every House We Built on 26 June 2026, with a video for "You Like It Best When It Hurts."
