Erland Dahlen, born on May 15, 1971, in Ulefoss, Norway, is a percussionist and drummer known for his contributions to jazz and experimental music. His career began with collaborations in various bands such as HET, Boschamaz, Kiruna, Morris, and Piston Ltd. He gained prominence as the semi-permanent drummer for Madrugada from 2005 to 2008, contributing to albums like The Deep End, Live at Tralfamadore, and Madrugada. During this period, he also worked on projects with artists including Kaada, Odd Nordstoga, Hanne Hukkelberg, Marit Larsen, Bjørn Eidsvåg, and Xploding Plastix. His work as a studio musician earned him the Gammleng-prisen award in 2010. In 2012, Erland Dahlen released his first solo album, Rolling Bomber, followed by Blossom Bells in 2015, Clocks in 2017, Bones in 2020, and Racoons in 2023.
