Biography
ERIHIRO, a Japanese music duo consisting of Eri Kamei and Hiroko Shimabukuro, both former members of the popular group SPEED, was formed in 2015. The formation of ERIHIRO was inspired by their shared desire to create a new kind of music for women in their 30s, following their collaborations on TBS's music program "UTAGE!" Given SPEED's inactive status, Kamei and Shimabukuro decided to form a new unit. With the theme of "adult music play," they collaborated with DJ'TEKINA//SOMETHING (also known as Tekisamu), who is known for producing BABYMETAL's sound. Their debut single, "Stars", released in 2015, showcased a unique blend of cutting-edge EDM and J-POP. Despite the promising start, ERIHIRO released only one single. Although no formal announcement of dissolution has been made, the group is effectively inactive. The official website and blog have also been closed down.
