Biography

Enrique Domingo Cadícamo, also known by the pseudonyms Rosendo Luna and Yino Luzzi, was an Argentine poet, composer, and writer. At age 26, he published his first book of poetry, Canciones grises. His musical breakthrough came with the tango Pompas de jabón, composed with Roberto Emilio Goyheneche and recorded by Carlos Gardel, followed by more than 20 tangos recorded by Gardel, including Madame Ivonne and Anclao en París. Other notable tangos include Muñeca brava, Tres esquinas, and Garúa. Cadícamo received the Konex Platinum Award in 1985 as the best Tango Author of the decade, was declared an Illustrious Citizen of the City of Buenos Aires in 1987, and recognized as an Emeritus Personality of Argentine Culture in 1996. He died on December 3, 1999, at the age of 99.
