EMNW is a Japanese girls rap-metal unit formed by two MCs: Emma from Yokohama and Menu from Okinawa. Blending punk, metal, and hip-hop into a high-impact mixture rock sound, EMNW represents a new wave of DIY-driven loud music emerging from Japan’s underground and viral scenes. Emma handles vocals and rap, while Menu focuses on sharp, rhythm-forward rap delivery, creating a dynamic contrast over aggressive guitar riffs and heavy beats. The duo gained early traction through social media, where their combined following reached around 200,000 and several videos surpassed one million views. Their cover of Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’” drew attention after frontman Fred Durst reacted to it, boosting their international visibility. Known for explosive live performances, EMNW appeared at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2025’s “ROOKIE A GO-GO” stage and at SiM’s curated event “WiLD CARD,” solidifying their presence in Japan’s loud music circuit. In March 2026, they released their first full-length album, EMNW(2026), followed by a nationwide tour.
