Biography
Emile Pandolfi, born in 1946 in New York, is an American pianist known for his renditions of show tunes and classical music. He began studying piano at age five and made his symphonic debut with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra at 14, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 11 in F major, K 413. Pandolfi attended Furman University for preparatory studies in music before transferring to Texas Tech, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree.
After college, Emile Pandolfi moved to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and later to Sussex, England, performing in various venues. Upon returning to the United States, he spent two years in Denver as part of a house band and then moved to Los Angeles, becoming one of the house pianists for the Comedy Store. He performed with entertainers such as Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Robin Williams, and was a featured performer at the 1984 Summer Olympics, playing "Rhapsody in Blue". In 1990, Pandolfi released his first album, By Request, a compilation of Broadway and movie themes arranged for piano solo. This album remains his top-selling release to date, with sales exceeding six hundred thousand units. He has since released numerous albums, including An Affair To Remember (1991), Country Impressions (1994), Starry Starry Night (2003), and Believe (2005).
