Eleanor Tomlinson is an English actress and singer who has appeared in several films and television programmes and in 2018 released an album of folk-influenced pop songs by artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot and Bonnie Raitt titled 'Tales from Home'. Academy Award-winning composer Anne Dudley produced the album which was preceded by a music video of Tomlinson singing Lightfoot's 'If You Could Read My Mind'.
Born in London to singer Judith Hibbert and actor Malcolm Tomlinson, Eleanor grew up in Yorkshire and began acting as a teenager in films such as 'The Illusionist' (2006) and 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' (2008). She went on to appear in films including 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010) and 'Jack the Giant Slayer' (2013) and on TV shows such as 'The White Queen' (2013), 'Death Comes to Pemberley' (2013), 'Ordeal By Innocence' (2018) and the revamped 'Poldark' series playing Demelza.
