Biography

Ela Taubert, born Manuela Taubert in Bogotá on November 11, 2000, is a Colombian singer-songwriter who has rapidly emerged as a leading voice in Latin pop. Her musical journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when she shared anonymous song covers on social media, capturing the attention of online communities and inspiring her to pursue a professional music career. In 2022, she released her debut single "Los rotos," but it was "Crecer" that marked her breakthrough, establishing her presence in the industry. Her 2023 EP, ¿Quién dijo que era fácil?, showcased her introspective songwriting, delving into themes of love, self-discovery, and personal growth. The single "¿Cómo Pasó?" released in early 2024, became a viral hit, leading to a bilingual version featuring Joe Jonas, which they performed together at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. This performance coincided with her winning the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist. In May 2025, Ela Taubert unveiled her debut album, PREGUNTAS A LAS 11:11, a collection of 16 tracks exploring vulnerability and empowerment, produced by KEVN and featuring collaborations with artists like Morat and Joe Jonas. The album includes standout tracks such as "¿Quién Diría?", "¿Trato Hecho?", and "¿Es En Serio?", the latter co-produced by Max Martin.
