Biography

Eun Jae Phoebe Kim, known professionally as EJAE, was born on 6 December 1991 in Seoul, South Korea, and began her career as a singer and songwriter. After an early trainee period with SM Entertainment that did not result in a debut, she shifted focus to songwriting and production, contributing to tracks for Red Velvet, Aespa, and Twice, and co‑writing the topline for Red Velvet’s "Psycho" which earned a US gold certification. In 2025 she provided the singing voice for the character Rumi in the film KPop Demon Hunters and co‑wrote the soundtrack hit "Golden", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and received four Grammy nominations, becoming the first K‑pop song to win both a Grammy and a Golden Globe. Her solo debut single "In Another World" was released on 24 October 2025, followed by "Time After Time" on 6 February 2026. "Time After Time" entered Melon's Top 500 Melon overseas chart at rank 5 on its release day.
