Eun Jae Phoebe Kim, known professionally as EJAE, was born on 6â¯Decemberâ¯1991 in Seoul, South Korea, and began her career as a singer and songwriter. After an early trainee period with SM Entertainment that did not result in a debut, she shifted focus to songwriting and production, contributing to tracks for Red Velvet, Aespa, and Twice, and coâwriting the topline for Red Velvetâs "Psycho" which earned a US gold certification. In 2025 she provided the singing voice for the character Rumi in the film KPop Demon Hunters and coâwrote the soundtrack hit "Golden", which topped the Billboard Hotâ¯100 and received four Grammy nominations, becoming the first Kâpop song to win both a Grammy and a Golden Globe. Her solo debut single "In Another World" was released on 24â¯Octoberâ¯2025, followed by "Time After Time" on 6â¯Februaryâ¯2026. "Time After Time" entered Melon's Top 500 Melon overseas chart at rank 5 on its release day.
