Eelco Gelling, born on June 12, 1946, in Zwartsluis, Netherlands, is a Dutch blues guitarist. He co-founded Cuby + Blizzards with Harry Muskee in 1964, releasing their first single in 1965 and several albums starting from 1966. The band gained fame in Holland, Germany, and the UK. In 1976, Gelling joined Golden Earring, contributing to Contraband (released in the U.S. under the title Mad Love) and "Sueleen" and "Bombay". He left the band during a tour in the United States after his favorite guitar was stolen. In 2000, he joined Xray for a show in Nijmegen, releasing a live recording with two original songs early in 2001. On April 14, 2015, Eelco Gelling was inducted into the Dutch Blues Hall of Fame and received a Gold Record for Groeten uit Grollo.
