Biography
Edna's Goldfish was an American ska punk band from Long Island, New York. First active between 1997 and 2000, the group released their debut album Before You Knew Better in 1998 through Moon Ska Records and followed it up with The Elements of Transition in 1999. The video for their song "Veronica Sawyer" received airplay on MTV's 120 Minutes. Edna's Goldfish toured extensively with notable acts such as The Toasters, Catch 22, and Reel Big Fish. After a tour in 2000 with Rx Bandits and The Gadjits, the band disbanded to pursue other interests. Post-breakup, members went on to work with various projects, including The Reunion Show and Catch 22. Edna's Goldfish reunited in April 2005 for a cancer benefit concert and again in May 2009 for the Bamboozle Festival. Their album Before You Knew Better was re-released on vinyl in 2012, featuring the bonus track "Better Days".
