Biography

Doyle Dykes, born May 23, 1954 in Cleveland, Tennessee, is an American country acoustic guitarist and songwriter. Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he began his musical journey influenced by musicians such as Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. Dykes' career took off when he toured with the Stamps Quartet and later with Grand Ole Opry star Grandpa Jones. His debut album Fingerstyle Guitar was released in 1996, followed by notable works including the single "Wabash Cannonball" from the album Country Fried Pickin' (2003). Dykes has been a major endorser of Taylor Guitars, with his own signature models.
