Biography

Don Miguelo, born Miguel Ángel Valerio Lebrón on August 21, 1981, in San Francisco de Macorís, is a Dominican urban artist known for his mastery of reggaetón and dembow. Raised by his grandmother, Don Miguelo began his musical journey with the breakout hit "La cola de motora," featured on his 2006 debut album Contra el tiempo, which earned multiple nominations at the Casandra Awards (now Premios Soberano). His rise to fame was cemented with hits like "Como yo le doy," "Ma Taide," and "Adicción al contacto," which brought him international recognition. In 2017, he released "Brujería," a viral sensation with millions of views and accolades for its innovative video. His 2020 hits, including "Lo vibró," "Carne," and "La piedra," showcased his consistent appeal in the Latin music market. Over the next few years, songs like "Elma Maria" with Maffio and Darell, "Y qué fue?," and "No me habla de amor" have kept his presence strong, with over 1.3 million monthly listeners on streaming platforms. Known for his collaborations with artists such as Bulin 47, Mozart La Para, and Lapiz Conciente, Don Miguelo dropped the LP EMDP (The Last Album) in 2024, featuring a handful of hits and some previously unreleased tracks.
