Biography
DJ Kim is a radio host and disc jockey specializing in raï and oriental R&B. A mainstay of Beur FM radio since 1996 with his Mega Raï Party and Top 20 Saturday shows, he organizes and sponsors numerous cultural events in support of humanitarian operations, such as La Caravane de l'espoir for the children of Ain Salah and the Zenith concert for the victims of the Zemmouri earthquake in Algeria in 2003. DJ Kim regularly publishes commercially successful compilations of Raï songs, such as Mariage à l'Orientale in 2008, Raï RnB Mix Party 2009, Kabylie Mix Party, DJ KIM à la BLED in 2009 and Raï RnB Mix Party 2010. In 2015, with Welkim, he offers a complete panorama of mixed urban clubbing. The album features no less than 24 tracks of R&B, funk and rap, bursting with Arabian swirls and autotune. In 2016, DJ Kim released a second volume of his compilation entitled Welkim 2.
