Biography
Daniel Robert Kausman, born 13â¯Octoberâ¯1972 in England, is a British DJ and producer known as DJâ¯Die. After growing up in Barnstaple and moving to Bristol in 1985, he developed an early interest in house and hardcore, partnering with Jody Wisternoff and performing with the freeâparty sound system Circusâ¯Warp. His first breakthrough came through a 1992 encounter with Roniâ¯Size at Replay Records, leading to collaborations such as "Music Box" for Fullâ¯Cycle Recordings and a role in the MercuryâPrizeâwinning group Roniâ¯Size & Reprazent. DJâ¯Dieâs discography includes the 1999 release "Drop Bear" / "Poison Ivy", the 2009 EP "Itâs a Big Up Thing" / "Itâs a Jazz Thing (Utah Jazz Remixes)", and the 2012 EP "Grand Funk Hustle". He has released tracks under aliases like Breakâ¯&â¯Die and collaborated with artists including DJâ¯Shadow and Towaâ¯Tei.
