Biography

Christian Horsters, known professionally as DJ Der Guten Laune, was born in 1955 in Grimlinghausen, Germany, and is a German DJ and food activist. He spent his childhood in the Niederrhein and later attended an internat in Xanten. After completing his Abitur, he began studying economics in KÃ¶ln but left early to work as a GroÃhÃ¤ndler for Ikebana-ZubehÃ¶r. DJ Der Guten Laune gained widespread recognition after a viral video of his performance at a Hochzeitsfeier in Bergisch Gladbach was uploaded to YouTube in May 2010. This exposure led to collaborations with EMI, resulting in the release of his single "Hands in the Sky" and the album The Happiest DJ's Party Mix in 2010.
