Nia Peeples, born Virenia Gwendolyn Peeples on December 10, 1961, in Hollywood, California, is an American singer and actress. She began her music career with the release of her debut single "Trouble" in 1988, which was followed by her first album Nothin' But Trouble. Her second album, I Know How (To Make You Love Me), released as a mini-CD, further established her presence in the dance and electronic music genres. In 1991, she released her self-titled album Nia Peeples, which included notable tracks such as "Kissing The Wind" and "Street Of Dreams". Throughout her career, Nia Peeples has been recognized for her contributions to both music and acting, balancing her roles in various television shows and films. She gained significant attention for her role as Sydney Cooke in the popular series Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1999 to 2001. Her acting career spans over four decades, with notable appearances in films such as North Shore (1987) and DeepStar Six (1989), as well as television shows like General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless. Peeples' versatility extends to her work behind the scenes, where she has taken on roles as a producer, director, screenwriter, and composer.
