Blank & Jones are a DJ and producer duo from Cologne, consisting of Piet Blank (* June 15, 1971) and Jaspa Jones (* June 27, 1968). Their music ranges from lounge and chill-out music to dance and trance. Initial releases such as "Don't Stop" (1996) and "Love Sensation" (1998) were released under the band name Gorgeous. After a few more singles as Blank & Jones, the debut album In da Mix follows in 1999, which reaches number 42 in the German charts and contains the track "Cream", which achieves great international success at number 24 in the British charts. in 2001, Blank & Jones received a 1 Live crown in the "Best DJ" category. The next albums continued the trio's success, with Substance even reaching number 6 in the German charts in 2002. Since 2003, they have been regularly releasing chill-out albums, which have repeatedly enjoyed chart success. Since 2009, they have been compiling remix albums and CD compilations of successful artists from the 1980s for the EMI label as part of the So80s series, and since 2012 also from the 1990s. In 2020, the year of their 25th anniversary, Blank & Jones released two compilations, Relax Edition 12 and Milchbar Seaside Season 12. Relax Edition 13 reached number 24 in the German charts in 2021. Seaside Season 14 (2022), Seaside Season 15 (2023) and Seaside Season 16 (2024) are released from the Milchbar series. All three albums reach the Top 10 in Germany and Switzerland. Relax Edition 15 follows in July 2024.
