Disrupt was an American crust punk band from Lynn, Massachusetts formed in 1987. The initial lineup included Jay Stiles and Pete Kamarinos on vocals, Chris Drake on guitar, Harry Haralabatos on drums, and Tony Leone on bass. After recording a rehearsal demo, the band underwent several lineup changes. Their lyrics were politically anarchist, focusing on animal rights and anti-capitalist views. Disrupt disbanded in 1993 due to personal and musical differences. The band's most notable album, Unrest, was released in 1994 after a European tour. Post-breakup, Relapse Records released a comprehensive discography set in 2007, including rare rehearsals and live tracks, solidifying their cult following.
