Biography

Dirge Within was an American groove metal, metalcore, and thrash metal band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in January 2007. The group was established by guitarist Shaun Glass following his departure from the band SOiL. In May 2009, the band signed with E1 Entertainment and released its debut studio album, Force Fed Lies, on September 1, 2009. The group performed on tours with acts such as Trivium, DevilDriver, Fear Factory, and Korn. Following the 2011 EP Absolution, the band released its second album, There Will Be Blood, on April 10, 2012. In September 2013, the group changed its name to The Bloodline and released the album We Are One on March 24, 2015. The band resumed the name Dirge Within in April 2017 before becoming inactive in January 2018.
