Dion Workman is a New Zealand musician and singer. During the mid-1990s, Workman was a member of the trio Thela alongside Rosy Parlane and Dean Roberts. Following the dissolution of Thela, Workman and Parlane moved to Melbourne, Australia, and recorded under the project name Parmentier. The duo also founded the Sigma Editions record label. Workman and Parlane relocated to Europe before Workman settled in New York City. In 2003, Workman won the Max Brand Prize for the composition âChingâ. That same year, Workman curated Volume III of the Allegorical Power Series. His recording career included collaborations within the New Zealand experimental music scene.
