Biography

Dinamita pa' los Pollos are a Spanish country rock and rockabilly group from Ortuella, formed in 1986. The members are Roberto “Capitán mondo” Mata, Javier Zaitegui, Óscar “Wildcat” Calleja, Miguel Labanda, and the backing vocalists the Bloody Marys. The ensemble released the debut work Bienvenidos al gallinero in 1987. In 1988, Mata, Zaitegui, Calleja, and Labanda released the mini-album No molestes a Pa' cuando está trabajando, which included the song “Bourbon” and a cover of “The Loco-Motion”. The 1989 album Purita Dinamita, produced by Paco Trinidad, reached gold record status and featured the songs “Billy Joe”, “Toro mecánico”, and “Pandilleros”. The group subsequently released the albums Sin rodeos (1990) and Juntos y revueltos (1992). Following the expiration of their recording contract, the ensemble became inactive in 1992. The compilation album Los mejores años de nuestras vidas was released in 1993, followed by Discografía básica in 2002.
