Biography

Formed in Austin, Texas, in 2020, Die Spitz is an all-female band with punk, hardcore, grunge and garage rock influences. Comprising Ellie Livingston (vocals, guitar), Kate Halter (bass), Ava Schrobilgen (guitar) and, since 202é, Chloe Andrews (drums), the quartet quickly made a name for themselves on the local scene for the intensity of their live shows and an abrasive sound found in the studio on the EP The Revenge of Evangeline (2022), followed by the album Teeth (2023), consolidating their reputation on the Texas indie circuit. In 2023, Die Spitz took part in several Austin festivals, including the Levitation Festival, sharing the bill with contemporary punk and noise bands. After the release of several singles in 2024, marking an evolution towards a darker, more assertive sound, while remaining true to their raw energy, Die Spitz returned with the album Something to Consume (2025).
