Declan John Galbraith, born December 19, 1991 in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent, is a British singer and songwriter who is best known for his soulful voice and his interpretations of pop and folk songs. He performs as a solo artist and has no permanent band members. His best-known albums include Declan (2003), which reached number 44 in the UK, and Thank You (2006), which reached number 5 in the charts in Germany. Another notable album is You and Me (2007), which reached number 33 in the German charts. Greatest Hits was released in 2018. His best-known singles are "Tell Me Why" (2002), which reached number 29 in the UK singles charts, "Love of My Life" (2007), which reached number 55 in Germany, and "Ego You" (2007). Declan Galbraith retired from the music business in 2010 due to declining success. Subsequent comeback attempts were unsuccessful. In 2017, the artist launched a new musical and artistic project under the name Child of Mind.
