Biography

Dead Winter Carpenters, a five-piece alternative country band from North Lake Tahoe, California. The group consisted of Jenni Charles on fiddle and vocals, Jesse Dunn on rhythm guitar and vocals, Dave Lockhart on upright and electric bass and vocals, Bryan Daines on lead guitar and vocals, and Brian Huston on drums and vocals. Their music blended progressive bluegrass, roots rock, and folk with influences from the Bakersfield Sound. The band's first show billed as Dead Winter Carpenters took place at the Crystal Bay Club in Lake Tahoe. Following a summer tour of the western United States, they recorded their debut self-titled album D.W.C., released in August 2010. In May 2012, they released "Ain't It Strange," which was followed by national tours and performances at notable festivals such as High Sierra Music Festival and YarmonyGrass.
