Dead and Divine was a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario. Their initial success came with the release of their 2005 EP What Really Happened at Lover's Lane, which landed them a spot on the Canadian Billboard chart. In 2008, they released their debut album, The Fanciful, under Rise Records, featuring the music video for "Like Wolves". The band toured extensively with acts like Farewell to Freeway and Oceano. In September 2008, they signed with Distort Entertainment and released The Machines We Are in 2009, which debuted at number 18 on the Canadian Nielsen SoundScan Hard Rock Charts. Their third album, Antimacy, was released in 2011. Despite their success, Dead and Divine announced their breakup in April 2012, citing a hectic touring schedule and personal reasons.
