Biography
Darko Rundek is a Croatian rock singer, songwriter, and poet who was born in Zagreb, PR Croatia, FPR Yugoslavia, in 1956. He achieved early professional recognition in 1979 after co-founding the band Haustor and is famous for being a prominent figure in the Yugoslav rock scene and for the solo recording Apokalipso (1996). With Haustor, he released the studio recordings Haustor (1981), TreÄi svijet (1984), Bolero (1985), and Tajni grad (1988), alongside the single âMoja prva ljubavâ (1980). Rundek emigrated to France in 1991 and launched a solo career in 1995. His solo debut, Apokalipso, won five Porin awards. He subsequently released the studio recordings U Å¡irokom svijetu (2000) and Ruke (2002). In 2002, he established Darko Rundek and Cargo Orkestar, which produced the recordings ZagrebaÄka magla (2004) and Mhm A-ha Oh Yeah Da-da (2006). Rundek has also composed music for more than 30 theater productions and directed around 50 radio plays for Radio Zagreb between 1982 and 1991.
