Comadre was an American screamo band from Redwood City, California, formed in 2004. The group was composed of former members of Heartcrosslove, One's Own Ruin, What Life Makes Us, and Light This City. After playing a few concerts and releasing a three-track demo titled Coffin (2004), the band changed its name to Comadre in autumn 2004. Their debut album, The Youth, was released in 2004. In 2005, they signed with Coldbringer Records and produced their EP Songs About the Man (2005). The following year, they released the album Burn Your Bones (2006) under Cosmic Note Records in Japan and Bloodtown Records in the United States. Comadre was known for their extensive touring, including performances in France with Graf Orlock and Aussitôt Mort. Other notable albums include A Wolf Ticket (2009). Their final studio album, Comadre, was released in 2013. The band announced their separation in 2013 and embarked on a farewell tour.
