Theresa Sokyrka, born Theresa Sokyrka on April 1, 1981, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She studied music at Red Deer College in Alberta and gained initial recognition during the second season of Canadian Idol, where she was the runner-up to Kalan Porter. Her breakthrough moment included performances such as "Summertime" and "Good Mother". Sokyrka's debut album, These Old Charms, was released on April 26, 2005, under an independent label. She has since released several albums, including Something Is Expected (2006), Prairie Winds (2013). Notable collaborations include duets with Jesse Brown and Simon Jasienuk. Sokyrka's album These Old Charms achieved gold status in Canada, selling over 70,000 copies. She was also named the Saskatchewan Centennial 2005 Youth Ambassador. In the 2020s, she released covers of popular songs such as "Time After Time", "Hello", and "True Colors."
