Biography

Dancing Mood, a musical group from Argentina, was formed in 2000 in Buenos Aires and was known for its instrumental fusion of classic Antillean melodies, primarily ska, reggae, and calypso. Founded by trumpeter Hugo Lobo, who had extensive experience playing with various national groups such as Viejas Locas and Callejeros, Dancing Mood quickly gained attention for their unique sound. The group's debut album, 20 Minutos, was released in 2001, followed by Vol. 2 in 2002. Their subsequent albums include Dancing Groove (2004), Groovin' High (2006), and Deluxe (2008). In 2015, Dancing Mood received the Diploma al Mérito from the Fundación Konex, recognizing them as one of the five Best Instrumental/Fusion groups in Argentina over the past decade. In 2022, the band released En vivo en la sala.
