Biography
Coming from a long line of folk musicians, singer, guitarist, songwriter and performer Dan McCabe hails from Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. He began performing in local clubs at an early age, before making a name for himself during the Covid-19 pandemic through his videos and online productions. In the first weeks of containment, he released the albums Songs for Ireland (2020) and The Lockdown Laments (2021), followed by The Lockdown Laments II (2021), before returning to the stage with a new-found fame. In 2023, the diptych Genesis Vol. 1 and Genesis Vol. 2 are released on the same day, followed in 2024 by the album Back to Life, with its version of "Caledonia " featuring in the Irish Homegrown Singles charts (No. 20).
