Biography

Formed in the southern Buenos Aires suburb of Quilmes, Cumbia Rocha emerged in the early 2020s as a nimble cumbia project built around live medleys and studio singles that rework Latin pop and urbano hits for the dancefloor. Led by singer and content creator Lihu Bombillar, the group took its first steps through singles like "Amor Perdido" (2021), "Procura / Un Montón de Estrellas / Machu Picchu" (2022), and "La Flor / Bachata Rosa / Cantarte al Oído" (2023). In 2024, the project issued “Hoy Me Puse Pillo” while growing a presence on YouTube with performance videos and short sets, a format refined into the 2025 two-part series Suena en la Previa, Vol. 1 and Suena en la Previa, Vol. 2. “Vol. 2” stitches together trending tracks—public teasers named “Todo que ver,” “Hacela corta morocha,” and “Amor del ghetto. Alongside these mixes, Cumbia Rocha has circulated standalone singles and medleys including “Flechazo en el Centro,” “Quiero a Dos,” and “Día de Enero / Lento / Volverte a Ver,” and has posted collaborations like “Quiero a dos – Cumbia Rocha x Dímelo Ismael” on its official channel, consolidating a catalog that moves between studio releases and viral live-set videos.
