Biography
Sleeze Beez was a Dutch hair metal band formed in 1987. The classic lineup consisted of vocalist Andrew Elt, guitarists Chriz van Jaarsveld and Don van Spall, bassist Ed Jongsma, and drummer Jan Koster. After debuting with Look Like Hell (1987), the band achieved international success with Screwed Blued N Tattooed (1990), whose single "Stranger Than Paradise" became an MTV hit, earned an Atlantic Records deal, and supported tours with Skid Row before headlining an extensive North American tour. They followed with Powertool (1992) and Insanity Beach (1994). As glam metal declined in popularity and Koster struggled with a wrist injury, Sleeze Beez disbanded in 1996 after recording the live album Live in Tokyo (1995). The band reunited in 2010, opening for Aerosmith at Arnhem's Gelredome, and later released the live album Screwed Live (2010).
