CRUISR, an American indie pop band from Philadelphia, was formed in 2012. The group originated as a solo project by lead singer Andy States, who wrote and recorded their first EP, Cruiser, in his bedroom. This initial release garnered attention on various blogs and led to the expansion of the band. In 2014, CRUISR released their debut single "All Over" and performed at festivals such as Budweiser Made in America Festival and Firefly Music Festival, along with a full North American tour with The 1975. The following year, they toured with acts like Bleachers, Joywave, and opened for Imagine Dragons in Philadelphia. In 2016, bassist Kyle Cook departed from the band, and CRUISR supported PVRIS on a full U.S. tour. They also released the 2-track single "Throw Shade," which included the b-side "Moving to Neptune." Their first single since 2016, "Mind Eraser," was released in April 2018 and featured on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist. The band continued to release singles including "Opening Up" (2019).
