Cornelius Claudio Kreusch, born on September 6, 1968, in Munich, Germany, is a German pianist known for his work in jazz. Raised in Munich and Ottobrunn, Kreusch received early musical training from his mother, concert pianist Dorothée Kreusch-Jacob. He studied at the Berklee College of Music and later at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where he earned his Master's degree in music. His breakthrough moment came in 1991 when he performed with notable jazz pianists such as Dick Hyman and Martial Solal during a televised jazz piano gala in Munich. Throughout his career, Kreusch has collaborated with prominent musicians including Greg Osby, Bobby Watson, Kenny Garrett, and Anthony Cox. His album Black Mud Sound (1995) was notably nominated for a Grammy Award. Subsequent notable releases include Scoop (1998), Transformer (Solo Piano) (2021), and Eye of the Storm (2022).
