Biography

Born in Northern Ireland but mostly brought up in Wales, Connie Fisher's first musical performances were appearing in The Pirates Of Penzance and South Pacific as a member of Haverford West Operatic Society. She subsequently joined the National Youth Music Theatre, playing Lady of the Lake in a UK and Japanese tour of Pendragon. She also competed in various Eisteddfod events in Wales before graduating from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2005. After appearances on Jane McDonald's Star For A Night show and singing on charity single Eyes Of A Child, Fisher entered the 2006 BBC TV talent show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria - fronted by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Her prize for winning was the lead role in a London stage production of The Sound Of Music, which she followed with her debut album My Favourite Things. When she left The Sound Of Music in 2008 Fisher co-starred with Alistair McGowan in a revival of the musical They're Playing Our Song and appeared in various TV shows. Her second album Secret Love (2009) included standards and show tunes like Someone To Watch Over Me, I Could Have Danced All Night and Next Time You Fall In Love, with Lee Mead.
