Coldworker was a Swedish deathgrind band from Ãrebro, formed in January 2006 by drummer Anders Jakobson following the dissolution of his previous band Nasum. The group's initial lineup included guitarists Anders Bertilsson and André Alvinzi, bassist Oskar PÃ¥lsson, and vocalist Joel Fornbrant. They released their debut album The Contaminated Void in November 2006 under Relapse Records, which was mixed by Dan Swanö and Peter in de Betou. Alvinzi was replaced by Daniel Schröder in 2007. The band's subsequent releases included the 2007 split EP Pig Destroyer / Coldworker / Antigama and the album Rotting Paradise in 2008, which featured a cover of Sepultura's "Necromancer" on its Japanese edition. They released another split EP, Coldworker / Deathbound, in 2009. Their final album, The Doomsayer's Call, was released in 2012 under Listenable Records after Relapse Records declined to publish it. Coldworker disbanded in July 2013 because the members simply did not want to continue playing together.
