Biography

Clémentine is a French singer born as Clémentine Mitz in 1963 in Paris. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by jazz, pop, and bossa nova and for being the most popular contemporary French singer in Japan. Her recording career began with the debut studio recording Absolument jazz (1988) released on the label Sony France. Clémentine achieved professional recognition for being discovered at the MIDEM in Cannes and signing with the label Sony Music Entertainment in 1990. Her discography included the studio recording Mes nuits, mes jours (1990) and the studio recording En privé (1992). She achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Mosaïques (1999) and the studio recording Les Voyages (2000). Clémentine achieved professional recognition for performing at venues including the Blue Note Tokyo and serving as the godmother of the Festival Tandem Tokyo in 2018. She achieved professional recognition for having her work featured in the exhibition C'est une chanson qui nous ressemble (2024).
